THE ABRAHAM JOSHUA HESCHEL SCHOOL

Educational – A new nine story state-of-the-art educational facility built on West End Avenue between 60th and 61st street on Manhattan's West Side.  This new facility united the entire Heschel learning community onto one campus.

The schools are united by an interior double height space that is flooded with natural light from the skylight above.  This space not only merges the existing school with the new building, but the entire Heschel community interacts with the space daily.

This project has achieved LEED Gold certification, and won a 2013 Citation Award in the American School & University Magazine, Combined School Category.
