The model for POLITI + SIANO is two-fold. First, to provide our clients with architectural, interior design, and construction management services through POLITI + SIANO ARCHITECTS. Second, to develop our own projects with POLITI + SIANO DEVELOPMENT which includes our own group of private investors. POLITI + SIANO is led by Thomas Politi and Michael Siano, with their combined 33 years of architecture and construction experience.

Architecture is more than just a profession, it is a solution to many functional problems in the world. Thus the Architect can be viewed as a "problem-solver". The Architect is able to provide analysis and solutions to best suit the client’s needs while viewing each piece of the problem as a part of the whole puzzle. The relationship between the Architect and client is unified and the product they create together is the optimal solution.
THE DESIGN PROCESS
The first design decisions typically respond to the site, so the first moves are simple and intuitive, drawing upon existing conditions, and/or one’s own experiences. As the design process moves forward the programmatic needs are reviewed and the composition of spaces begins.
Composing various spaces is typically rooted in a theory and/or concept that is derived from resources. These resources can be as simple as documenting the clients specific needs, site limitations, reviewing architectural precedence, photographs, sketches (both past and present work), building materials, as well as architectural history.
One can imagine that architectural compositions can be a story. A story in which the author (architect) sets the framework, but may not reveal the entire story by the end. Perhaps, the best composed stories in architecture are the open ended ones, allowing the viewer to experience the composition of spaces in their own terms, and connect-the-dots between the built environment, nature, and their own experiences.
